New week, means a new planet: Thorix 82L5. Full of old scraps, it’s a heaven for space scavengers.
This week we worked on a new planet: Cyria 80H5.
There seems to be some mysteries about it, a huge ship have crash-landed on it a long time ago, installations where destroyed, and the remains of a big beast can be seen from afar.
We also started the main screen located in the cockpit of your spaceship.
After some trial and error, we settled on some transition between planets.
It’s probably not the last iteration, but it gives a good warp speed impression.
This week we added a new planet, codename Baorox 351, featuring rocky rings and a planet-wide shield (not to be confused with an atmosphere, duh).
Another detail, the buildings now have a night mode, reacting to the sun’s position.
To introduce more variety in the levels, we’re adding logic to handle multiple planets in the same level.
We’re adding small details:
Another week, another batch of new elements implemented.
Some of the planets you will have to live on have no atmosphere, in order to protect your buildings from dangers we added energy shields!
This week, we worked on improving some of the game mechanics: transport ships are moving produced resources between buildings. For example when food is produced by a farm, a ship will move it to either the command center or housing.
Adding more gameplay behaviors: time control, more details on buildings, population management, worker assignments, neighbors bonuses and penalties.
We’re playing with a new game idea, current code-name: Exostation.
This is a first preview of some UIs and gameplay.
